Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe to Alice and Jonathan Nkuchwayo. She is the second born of three children. Raised in Atlanta, GA, Dzauya spend many days in her childhood church, Central Congregational Church, participating in youth events, serving as a youth representative on the Trustee Board, and gave her first sermon at the age on 17 – following a life changing trip to Zimbabwe. Dzauya is currently a member of First Congregational Church – United Church of Christ, in Atlanta, GA. Dzauya serves on the Community Development Committee (CDC), an extension of the First’s church ministries which provides educational and human resource services throughout the Atlanta Community. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble, a harp instructional program for students in the metro-Atlanta area.
Dzauya attended Hood College, in Frederick, MD, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication – Public Relations, and is now pursuing a Master of Science for Non-Profit Management.
When Dzauya is not meeting her church and board obligations, she spends time serving as a volunteer with Project Open Hand, where she packs meals and helps prepare food deliveries.
Ms. Nkuchwayo works as Fundraising Consultant for Blackbaud, Inc. where she provides software consulting and strategic consulting services to non-profits throughout the United States.
